Last summer, fire caused widespread damage to the fringes of Fraser Range Station as it tore through Nullabor scrub. Fighting fire with Landcruiser Utes was tough at times, yet it helped stopped the flames causing damage to the historic Fraser Range Station. Station Holder Ben Holman has recently purchased a fire appliance to help fight any further fire for not only his station, but neighbouring properties as well.

Ben – seen here with his purchase, will now have a proper fire fighting appliance on site to be able to assist at a moment’s notice “It will be a benefit this fire season, we were a little under horse power last season, just using Landcruisers  – now we add a bit more capacity” he said.

It will be of more benefit than just to the Fraser Range Station “This will definitely help. I think it will be great for all the pastoral people out there and the Dundas Shire. Last year the highway (Eyre Highway) was closed for two weeks with bushfires, which burnt over half a million acres – the more support we have out there the better.” He said

The Appliance is one of the first vehicles sold from Worthy Parts since the business acquired a Motor Dealers License.
